Amanda Somberg is a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA #41275) specializing in couples counseling, communication skills training, and sexuality. Amanda is a certified Relational Life Therapist, Terry Real's revolutionary theory for couples wanting to repair their relationship and reconnect with their earlier zest for each other.
Amanda has been affiliated with Planned Parenthood for 16 years. She is currently a clinical supervisor for psychology interns throughout the Planned Parenthood Shasta-Diablo region. She is also a pro bono mediator with Contra Costa County Family Court Services.
Amanda graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in
English and from John F. Kennedy University with a M.A. in
Clinical Psychology. She also completed
a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and Organizational Psychology
from John F. Kennedy University.
Amanda created
“Passport to Pleasure: A Seminar for Women” about sex, body
image, motherhood, and other female-oriented toipcs. She is
also the creator of "Passport to Pleasure: A Seminar for Couples"
which is a fun and educational seminar designed to
improve communication inside and outside the bedroom.
